Finished: A Game of Thrones by George RR Martin
Despite the fact that my kindle is dying, I managed to get through the first book in this epic series. I am wont to compare this epic to the massive tomes that Peter F Hamilton writes. Only because of the sheer scale of the stories. And the huge numbers of points of views. Martin does it well. Hamilton does not. Martin has made it easy to follow a story which is developed from multiple view points by separating these into chapters, focusing on only one character. It makes it an enjoyable and easy read. Once you learn who the character is & where they fit in the story. Whereas Hamiltons books become confusing & it is easy to lose track of whose point of view exactly you are seeing the story from.
